My new band project for 2017 is to create a HIGH QUALITY Led Zeppelin Tribute Band.
I’m looking for band members to play Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones, I will be playing John Bonham. Auditions will be in my home studio in Saint Petersburg, Florida in early October of 2017.
Send me videos now of you playing at least 5 Led Zeppelin songs. I need people that REALLY know this music, not someone who wants to learn it. Once the group is assembled, all the musicians will meet at my home studio in Saint Petersburg, Florida to practice the songs.
When we all are comfortable with our act, we will commence booking shows all around the USA. I have worked with several agents who specialize in booking tribute bands. We’ll be playing in the bigger venues, no small night clubs! The P.A. will be provided with sound men and a road crew and hopefully we’ll be traveling all over America.
I’ve loved Led Zeppelin since I was a teenager, and many people still love their music. A Led Zeppelin Tribute band will draw a lot of people. I helped create a very successful Eric Clapton Tribute Band, called Crossroads and we released a CD. We played lots of amphitheaters, festivals, halls, etc., and were well paid. I’ve lead many successful bands and I can play all of Led Zeppelin's songs on drums, very well.

I need people that REALLY know Zeppelin music and if you need to learn a Zeppelin song, show up after studying the song, as we can refine it during practice. This will be a fun, professional experience that pays very well. Must attempt to bring the same energy and feel. You do not have to look just like them but you should be in good shape; a lot can be done with hair, makeup and clothes.
Other important info:
Know your song, (the WHOLE song), learn the correct cords, know each part properly.
We will supply the P.A. Have your own equipment to play through; guitar, mics, amps, etc.
Have your own transportation.
Be dependable.
Show up with a good attitude. You should take playing seriously, but it should also be one of the most enjoyable things you will ever do.
No drug/alcohol problems or legal issues.
Be willing to travel, your travel expenses will be paid.
No drama.
I'm an easy going personality and tend to get along with the vast majority of people but, I won't tolerate any bullshit, craziness, massive egos or drama. I've been in the music business for over 30 years and have played with hundreds of musicians. I want to bring a group together with massive talent and a great love of music.
Led Zeppelin Tribute bands are also the highest paying of all tribute bands. I will share the wealth and pay people equitably. I know what it's like to be underpaid, underappreciated and dominated by ego-manics. I will take all I have learned about the music business and apply it to this band to help make us something we are all proud of and have the best time of our lives doing it.
